The new Road Transport (Working Time) Regulations come into force on 23rd March 2005.
The new Road Transport (Working Time) Regulations come into force on 23rd March 2005. Among other changes, they will introduce limits on the weekly working time which company drivers can spend driving, and require that regular breaks are taken.
The haulage sector will feel the major impact of this legislation. However, any business operating car or van fleets should be aware of the restrictions - and some may consider using fleet telematics devices to manage the driving practices of remote workers.
